Tyrone Mings exit worry emerges amid ‘massive’ Aston Villa pre-season news

Ty Bracey believes that Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia can have a positive impact on Aston Villa next season despite talk of potential loans.

The Villans have returned to preseason training with the club sharing images via X (8 July) of stars beginning with gym work.

Supporters were delighted to see Mings and Buendia as part of the pictures after lengthy spells out due to injury concerns suffered last year.

Villa podcaster Bracey believes that any discussion of the duo being loaned out should end with them both readying to feature under Unai Emery next season.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I’m just really interested to see where they fit into Emery’s plans.

Some fans think they could be loaned out to get some first-team minutes but I think they’ll both be hungry to get regular minutes for Villa.

Buendia looked so good last pre-season so I’m definitely excited to see him back. Mings I am more unsure about, I don’t think he’ll leave and he’ll play his part, we all know he is capable.

“They’re two figures I hope will stay and I’m excited to see them back. They’re back in training but we don’t know how close they are to returning. Depth is important this year so getting them back is massive.”

Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia return to Aston Villa training

It was a blow to lose the Argentine in preseason after he had looked so good in friendlies throughout the summer.

This was only made worse when Mings was forced off on the opening day of the Premier League season against Newcastle United.

Finally, nearly 12 months on from both, they are in first-team training and appear to be preparing for preseason ahead of a clash with Walsall on Wednesday (17 July).

Every Villa fan will want to see them both return to their best ahead of the new campaign with the Champions League on the horizon.

They have both played their part in getting Villa to where they are now and will definitely make the squad better next season.

Despite potential incoming signings like Jaden Philogene to challenge Buendia, the 27-year-old still deserves his chance to prove himself.

Any talk of a loan right now is premature, potentially this could be looked into in January depending on the situation the Villans find themselves in.
