Aston Villa transfer news as medical claim emerges on Norwich City ace Jonathan Rowe
Norwich City attacking midfielder Jonathan Rowe may face some problems clearing his medical with Aston Villa, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the 20-year-old may face lingering effects of the Grade 3 hamstring setback in February.
This comes after the Athletic reported on Villa’s interest on 4 June in the Englishman who’s also capable of playing on the left wing.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:
“Based on the timeline when he missed two months between February and April, I’d reckon this was a Grade 3 out of 4 hamstring tear.
“The club will, of course, know about it and then go through their medical testing to see if there are any significant lingering effects or anything that stands out as an outlier.
“It should not necessarily cause any issues with the medical if he’s recovered completely but if he hasn’t, then there’s always the risk of things going sideways.“
Jonathan Rowe will be a quality option in depth for Aston Villa
Rowe has shown impressive performance with 12 goals and two assists this past season.
Villa have been monitoring him closely, indicating their interest in his potential.
Rowe’s versatility allows him to play on both flanks, making him a valuable asset.

His youth and proven goal-scoring ability could provide Villa with depth in their attacking options, potentially aiding in their push to finish in the top four again.
