Sky Sports drop Matty Cash exit update at Aston Villa as transfer news emerges

AC Milan are interested in signing Matty Cash but Aston Villa have named a price which may prove to be too much, according to Sky Sports Italy.

The Italian outlet has reported (3 June) that the Rossoneri want to sign a right-back this summer and are interested in Emerson Royal from Tottenham.

Should they fail in a bid for the Brazilian they could turn their attention to the Polish international who had an up-and-down season under Unai Emery.

It has been suggested that the price tag that Villa have set “appears to be too high” for the Serie A outfit to reach this summer.

Matty Cash to depart Aston Villa for AC Milan?

The Poland international started the season in great fashion as he scored two against Burnley and looked to have found his best form for the Villans.

This was about as good as it got for Cash who struggled for regular game time as Emery favoured Ezri Konsa at right back.

He is now an England international and is playing in the same position for Gareth Southgate in that set up so he has clearly impressed.

This has forced Cash onto the bench and he has been limited to few starts and more regular substitute appearances.

He did give Villa fans a moment they will never forget as he slammed home an equaliser against Lille in the Conference League quarter-final.

These great moments were few and far between which has all come together to see him miss out on the Poland EURO squad ahead of the summer.

A move away, especially with Kosta Nedeljkovic coming in, could prove to be beneficial for the defender as he seeks more regular minutes.
