Ollie Watkins to be tempted to complete Liverpool transfer amid £75m+ Aston Villa news

Bryan King believes Aston Villa will demand a minimum fee of £75million for Ollie Watkins.

The ex-Villa scout feels the striker could be tempted by a move to Anfield.

It comes after a report in The Sun (29 May) revealed that Arne Slot is a fan of Watkins, with the Reds targeting him as a potential replacement for Darwin Nunez.

But King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – claims that the 28-year-old won’t be cheap.

“I think any player would be tempted by a move to Liverpool,” King said.

“But Villa will want at least £75million, at the minimum. He’s a current England international and the club’s top scorer last season.

“That will be the minimum they’d want, and the fee would likely end up being higher.”

Unai Emery will be keen to keep hold of Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa

Unai Emery will not want to lose Watkins.

He is arguably the club’s most important player and would be very difficult to replace.

And with Villa in the UEFA Champions League, there is every chance Watkins might stay put.

Ollie Watkins has been linked with a move away from Aston Villa.

However, Liverpool are also playing Champions League football next season.

And at the age of 28, Watkins might feel that this is the perfect time to make a big career change.
