Conor Gallagher ready to accept Aston Villa switch as Chelsea transfer news emerges
Bryan King believes Chelsea ace Conor Gallagher would be keen to join Unai Emery at Aston Villa.
The ex-Villa scout claims that qualification for the UEFA Champions League could help lure the midfielder to the club.
It comes after a report in the Daily Mail (26 May) revealed that Villa hold an interest in Gallagher.
And King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – feels that the player would be open to the switch.
“I could see Gallagher accepting a move to Villa,” King said
“He would be keen to play in the Champions League, which he won’t be doing with Chelsea.
“Gallagher will want to remain as an England player, and the way to do that is to play against top-class teams in Europe.”
Conor Gallagher would be a massive addition for Unai Emery at Aston Villa
Gallagher impressed with Chelsea last season.
He was one of the club’s most consistent performers in what was a difficult campaign for the Blues.
With Villa set to compete in next season’s Champions League, Gallagher would be a welcome addition.

He would improve the quality of the squad and provide Emery with some much-needed depth.
