Aston Villa complete new transfer as behind-the-scenes image emerges from Bodymoor Heath
Aston Villa have completed the signing of Keilan Quinn from West Brom.
On Wednesday (13 March), the 16-year-old midfielder shared an image of himself on Instagram where he’s clearly signing his contract at Villa. He captioned the image with a writing emoji and also tagged the Premier League club.
On 1 February, The Athletic reported that Aston Villa had agreed a deal to sign the “highly-rated” youngster from the Baggies, where he’d been playing Under-18s football this season.
How much have Aston Villa paid for Keilan Quinn?
Jacob Tanswell also reported that Villa will be paying £1million to West Brom for Quinn as the Birmingham-based club continues to raid the academy of their Black Country neighbours.
Aston Villa academy chief Mark Harrison has not only brought a bunch of staff over from The Hawthorns in recent years but he’s also signed a whole heap of players, too.
Morgan Rogers, Lino Sousa, Tim Iroegbunam, Finn Azaz, Finley Thorndike, Jamal Jimoh, Ricoh Richards, Louie Barry, Triston Rowe, Luka Lynch and Chisom Afoka have all left West Brom – or previously were on the books at West Brom – and ended up at Bodymoor Heath under Harrison’s leadership.
It remains to be seen how much longer this will go on but clearly, Villa’s youth recruitment needs to be a lot better at the grass-roots level in order to stop them from having to pay seven-figure fees for players who are all but right under their noses in the West Midlands.

Quinn seems like a good talent and the £1million fee for the 16-year-old backs up the fact that the club also thinks the same.
Let’s see how this one pans out and whether or not one of these recruits from Albion ends up making it at Villa Park.
