Aston Villa: £30m Jacob Ramsey sale claim emerges amid Unai Emery hunt to sign new attacker
Aston Villa could get £30million if they were to sell Jacob Ramsey, according to former Villa Park scout Bryan King.
The verdict comes amid suggestions that the Midlands club may be forced to sell some star players after announcing losses of £119.6million in their latest accounts.
King has suggested that it could be a scenario of one in, one out this summer, with FC Copenhagen sensation Roony Bardghji linked with a £20million move to Villa Park.
Speaking to Villa News, King said: “If he’s not going to get a chance at Villa, and there are clubs interested, then I can’t see him generating the kind of money that Watkins or Martinez would. There are a few clubs interested in Martinez, and there are certainly a few clubs interested in Watkins.
“There is talk of Bardghji coming in for £20million. How much would Ramsey raise if Villa sold him, £25million to £30million?
“It would probably be bringing in one and letting one go. People are always wary when there has been injury after injury, and he’s had a few injuries.”
Will Aston Villa lose a star player like Jacob Ramsey this summer?
It remains to be seen what Villa will need to do in the summer transfer window, with the Midlands club confident that their recent loss is within the Premier League’s financial rules.
They will, of course, be doing all they can not to breach such rules, with fellow top-flight club Everton having been docked six points earlier this season for doing so.

A major exit could take place at Villa Park come the end of the season, but Unai Emery won’t want to lose Ramsey, even if the midfielder has his injury issues, having missed out entirely as Tottenham Hotspur smashed Villa 4-0 on Sunday (10 March).
