Ex-Aston Villa scout shares Unai Emery priority as brutal Premier League prediction made
Aston Villa should not be prioritising one competition over the other, according to former Villa Park scout Bryan King.
King believes the Premier League and Europa Conference League should intertwine for manager Unai Emery and his players.
The former Villa employee did add, however, that the club will definitely not lift the Premier League trophy this season.
When asked if Emery should be prioritising one of the competitions over the other, King told Villa News: “No. One should interlock the other.
“If you’re winning matches, success makes a happy football club. But they won’t win the Premier League, that’s for sure.”
Can Aston Villa successfully compete in the Premier League and Europa Conference League?
It has been a superb season for the Midlands club so far, with Emery orchestrating things expertly from the dugout.
The manager has built a very talented squad at Villa Park, with his side looking likely to clinch a top four league spot and progress far in Europe.

Fans may have been annoyed at early FA Cup and League Cup exits, but those exits have definitely helped the club maintain a strong run in their current competitions.
Chelsea knocked Villa out of the FA Cup in a fourth round replay last month, with Everton handing the Midlands outfit in the third round of the League Cup back in September.
