Aston Villa attacker Leon Bailey has reached an agreement with the club for a new long-term contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The reliable journalist took to Twitter on Monday, 5 February, to claim that the Jamaican winger will be handed a salary hike as well.
It’s down to completing the paperwork with the 26-year-old understood to be happy at Villa Park.
Via Twitter, Romano wrote: “Aston Villa reach verbal agreement with Leon Bailey to sign new long term contract very soon.
“It’s all agreed, time to complete paperwork and then sign as Bailey’s happy to stay at #AVFC.
“Salary rise and longer contract for the Jamaican winger.”
