Aston Villa: Broadcaster baffled by what Roy Keane said about Douglas Luiz
We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…
The comments by Roy Keane linking Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz with a move to Manchester United were “daft”, according to Ty Bracey.
Speaking on Sky Sports on 14 January (via talkSPORT), the pundit said the Brazilian international is a “quality player” and that he could go on to play for a club like the Red Devils in the future.
He added that the 25-year-old midfielder is a “consistent performer” after helping Villa compete for a Champions League place this season.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “He’s got his Red Devil goggles on. Man United aren’t the prestigious club that they used to be.
“Of course, they’re littered with history, but they’re still recovering from losing Alex Ferguson after all these years.

“A statement like that’s a bit daft really. Are they a huge club with a huge fanbase? Yeah. But is the football being played there good? No.
“They’ve spent money, like spending £100million on Antony, for example. It’s just poor business.”
In other Aston Villa news, a broadcaster has suggested a potential loophole Villa could be exploiting in the transfer market.
