Broadcaster shares verdict as Unai Emery Premier League development emerges at Aston Villa

We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…

Ty Bracey isn’t surprised to see Unai Emery’s run without a goalless draw in the Premier League come to an end in the Aston Villa game against Everton on 14 January.

It was the Villa manager’s first ever 0-0 stalemate in the English top flight at the 97th attempt, with the goals previously flowing in the matches he was involved with the Villans and former club Arsenal.

That result at Goodison Park meant his side sit third in the table, two points behind the league leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.

Bracey believes the Toffees were “lucky” to come away with a point after the chances Villa created, but he has no complaints about picking up a point on the road.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “It’s a long time to go without having a 0-0.

“But it was always going to come at somewhere like Everton away, it was always going to happen.

“It was a lucky result. I think it’s a game where we should have got three points. The players played well, but luck was against us on the day.

“But a point away isn’t the worst, so there are no complaints from me.”
