Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:

Based on Emery’s comments in early January, it sounded like he was getting to the final stages of recovery.

It seemed like a muscular calf injury.

He would likely have undergone multiple days of team training before returning to first-team action.

However, he now appears to have returned to full fitness and has played four games in less than two weeks.

Tielemans has struggled to be a first-team regular this season under Emery’s stewardship.

He has made just four Premier League starts all term and three of them have come in January 2024.

The 26-year-old has come off the bench on 13 different occasions in the Premier League and will now be looking to nail his spot down in the best eleven.

In other Aston Villa news, a Sky Sports pundit has savaged a first-team player and called him “Foolish” after what he did recently.
