Business 101 as NSWE ready yet more Aston Villa investment – Finance Expert
We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist, he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Aston Villa.
Dan Plumley has insisted that it is “business 101” to prioritise your strategies and that is exactly what NSWE are doing at Aston Villa right now.
After it was confirmed that redevelopment plans at Villa Park were being put on hold, it was shared that work on a new fan zone and upgraded training facilities were still going ahead.
The finance expert admitted it may not have been feasible to do all three at once, with a real positive being that they are cracking ahead with investment for two of those right now.

“That again is the bigger picture,” he exclusively told Villa News.
“You talk about the need to prioritise and if there is a significant amount of cost attached to all of these things, stadium expansion, fan zone, training ground, it becomes a case of it’s not feasible to do everything right here, right now.

“What is the most important priority for us and what is then the rank order? It looks like they’ve decided that the upgraded training ground is important, that will have an impact on the performance side of things, fan zone is important because of the fan experience and you can do that without changing the stadium too much.
“On a priority scale, you get that and that is business 101, set your strategy and work on your priorities.
“If that’s how the owners are seeing it then there is positivity in that there is investment there and it’s part of the bigger picture for Villa.”
