Doctor reacts as Aston Villa attacker Bertrand Traore suffers fresh injury setback
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Aston Villa...
The lack of game time for Aston Villa attacker Bertrand Traore has contributed to an injury setback, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The 28-year-old was injured for a few weeks in August, September and October and once again is set to spend weeks on the sidelines.
He was called up to the Burkina Faso squad during the international break in November and returned to Bodymoor Heath with an injury, according to Birmingham Live.

Speaking about his injury, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:
“Hard to say anything on injury specifics or timeline here as not much information is provided.
“What I can say is that this fresh setback is not surprising at an injury considering how little he’s played for the club this season.
“He looks likely to miss the next few weeks as there’s not even a definite timescale on his return.“

The attacker has played just two Premier League games this season and has featured in a grand total of 10 minutes for the team.
Even in the Conference League, all his three appearances have been off the bench for Unai Emery’s side.
Thus far, there has been no official word from the club towards the extent of his setback, but he does seem likely to be out for a few weeks.
In other Aston Villa news, Ian Wright has waxed lyrical over a first-team player and has dubbed him “fantastic” after what he did recently.
