Doctor issues Emi Martinez injury verdict after Aston Villa v Arsenal Premier League clash
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Aston Villa...
Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez will not be missing any games amid his hip injury fake against Arsenal, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert assessed the Argentina international’s antics where he fell on his right hip but began holding his left one.
This was him just wasting time as Villa held a one-goal lead and ended up winning the game 1-0 at Villa Park on 9 December.

Speaking about the incident, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:
“No there’s no injury there for Martinez.
“He fell down on his right hip, did it himself after holding the ball and then was grabbing at his left hip.
“Time wasting as always and definitely no injury or risk of missing any games.”

Villa fans certainly will be delighted with Martinez’s performance as not only did he keep a clean sheet against one of the title contenders, but he also managed to wind up players of his former club.
He was constantly looking to disrupt the Gunners’ plans and whatever dark arts he was attempting, undoubtedly seemed to have worked.
Emery’s side are set to take on Zrinjski in the Europa League on Thursday and it remains to be seen if Emery rests his first choice keeper.
In other Aston Villa news, Ian Wright has waxed lyrical over a first-team player and has dubbed him “fantastic” after what he did recently.
