Ty Bracey makes ‘crazy’ Aston Villa admission, shares area Unai Emery will want to improve
We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…
Aston Villa need to start claiming more clean sheets despite their impressive start to the season, according to Ty Bracey.
Villa currently sit fifth in the Premier League table after they have won every single home game in the opening couple of months of the campaign.
One of the few criticisms that could be aimed at Unai Emery’s side, though, is that they haven’t been completely solid at the back, with keeper Emiliano Martinez keeping just two clean sheets so far this season.

Bracey has called for the Villans to be more consistent as they look to give the sides that regularly qualify for European football a run for their money at the top end of the table.
Asked where he thinks Emery would most like his side to improve after the international break, speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I think leaking goals and I use the term leaking very lightly. We’re scoring a gargantuan amount of goals, we just need to get those clean sheets on board.
“I think that’s important and just watching things happening like losing to Forest. They’re the games where we should really be picking up points.

“If we had beaten Forest and then Fulham, we’d be joint-top of the league now, which is a crazy thing to even talk about.
“We’re only three points off now but, again, if we’d only picked up a point, it’s one of those things where every point and every goal really matters at the top of the Premier League. It’s your perfectionists and your repeat offenders year in, year out in the top five and to disrupt that requires consistency.”
