Alisha Lehmann now undroppable for Aston Villa Women after what happened in 7-0 win v Blackburn Rovers
Aston Villa Women ace Alisha Lehmann is now undroppable under manager Carla Ward after her recent exploits on the pitch.
The attacker was handed a rare start for her club’s FA WSL group stage clash with Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday (22 November).
And she certainly took the opportunity with both hands, with the Switzerland international scoring twice as her side stormed to a 7-0 win.

Fellow forward Rachel Daly also bagged a brace, with Ebony Salmon, Maz Pacheco and Simone Magill also on the scoresheet.
Lehmann certainly had a point to prove to Ward given how the player has largely been used as a substitute this season.
The Switzerland international came off the bench in the 3-2 league win at West Ham last Sunday (19 November), having been an unused substitute in the 2-0 win at Bristol City the previous weekend.
But the 24-year-old did not let the lack of minutes get to her head against Blackburn, proving to Aston Villa Women boss Ward that she is more than capable of finding the back of the net.

The display has certainly given the manager food for thought for the club’s next match, which is a home clash with Everton in the league on Sunday (26 November).
Such competition for places will, of course, be warmly welcomed by Ward, particularly given the club’s disappointing league campaign so far.
The Midlands side have won just two of their seven matches, losing the other five to leave them in ninth place in the table, just two points off rock bottom.
In other Aston Villa Women news, one player recently sent a two-word message to Lehmann as training images emerged at the Midlands club.
