Youri Tielemans to start v Newcastle United as Aston Villa team news predicted
We’re delighted to welcome Aston Villa podcaster Ty Bracey as our exclusive Aston Villa columnist each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the club…
Youri Tielemans will add a new dimension to the Aston Villa midfield due to his ability to get forward, according to Ty Bracey.
On a free transfer, Tielemans looks to be one of the bargains of the summer following the expiration of his Leicester City contract. However, he may struggle to break into the starting XI due to the quality partnership formed by Douglas Luiz and Boubacar Kamara.
However, Tielemans’ role at Leicester gave him more licence to penetrate the midfield and create chances for teammates, meaning he could add something different to Emery’s side.

Bracey claims that the Belgian could offer more in regard to goalscoring than other current Villa midfield options, and could find his way into the starting lineup when the Villans face Newcastle on Saturday (12 August).
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “It’s a tough one. I think Tielemans pops forward a little bit more than Douglas Luiz and Boubacar Kamara.
“They’re both very defensive-minded in the midfield. Don’t get me wrong, they’re more than capable of going forward, but I think Tielemans will offer that little bit more in terms of his end product.

“It all depends on what system Emery plays. I can imagine he pushes up more, especially with Jacob Ramsey out, I think he will play his role.
“But to get him on a free, I’m over the moon.”
In other Aston Villa news, Sky Sports journalist Dan Bardell has claimed one youth player has stopped the club’s transfer plans.
