Aston Villa to sanction Keinan Davis exit, permanent transfer deal not cheap

Aston Villa are willing to let Keinan Davis leave this summer, according to Darren Witcoop.

The Sunday Mirror journalist reported via Twitter (19 July) that the Villans will sanction the departure of Davis, either on loan or permanently.

However, a deal will not be cheap, whether he leaves permanently or temporarily. A number of Championship clubs have already enquired about the 25-year-old.

The centre-forward spent last season on loan with Watford in the Championship where he scored seven goals and provided two assists in 34 appearances.

Time to leave

With numerous clubs interested in Davis and Villa willing to let him go, this might be the time for the Englishman to make a permanent switch from Villa Park.

It is clear that he is not in Unai Emery’s plans and a transfer away from the West-Midlands side might be best for both parties.

Davis has made just one Premier League appearance across the past two seasons and might feel it is time to turn his full attention toward a new team.

At the age of 25, he is not getting any younger and is now entering the prime years of his career and will want to spend them settled with a club who are willing to build their side around him.

A move to another Championship side could be exactly what he needs to get his career back on track as he looks to continue playing consistently after his time with Watford.

In other Aston Villa news, the club are prepared to cover a midfield target’s wages.
