Finance Expert reacts to Aston Villa redevelopment news
We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist, he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Aston Villa.
Dan Plumley has insisted that stadium redevelopments are never simple as Aston Villa get set to kick ahead with their plans at Villa Park.
The finance expert admitted it was easy to see why councils are quick to get behind redevelopment where they can as it can improve infrastructure as well as making more jobs available.
It comes after it was revealed that local railways will be just one of the local areas that will need improving, as NSWE prepare to improve Villa Park.

“It never is simple,” he exclusively told Villa News.
“It shows the wider impact of a stadium redevelopment. There are a lot of things to consider from a cost perspective, but also, there are some real benefits for the local economy and region as a whole.
“If we’re talking about the railway development as well, it’s better infrastructure for transfer, future-proofing that, job creation as there is going to be people working on this stuff, money going back into the economy so it does all work together.

“You can see for the most part why councils are relatively keen to back these proposals where they can, assuming they don’t have to foot the bill for it and the club will cover a lot of those costs is the negotiating part.
“It’s good for the club, and it’s good for the region so there are some positives to take from that.”
This development will hopefully be positive for all parties involved, as well as the local economy.
With more jobs and areas thriving, there is no surprise that this was given the green light to go ahead and the stadium will be above 50,000 in capacity – a treat for all involved.
In other Aston Villa news, the future of this loanee hangs in the balance as contract talks await.
