Aston Villa Academy: Rory Wilson could be next to explode at Villa Park
With most of the big names at Aston Villa currently away at the World Cup, Unai Emery must open the door to those who may not get the opportunity otherwise.
The Villans have really looked to improve their academy over recent years with numerous new transfers, and that is something that should benefit them moving forward.
We saw with Steven Gerrard that opportunities weren’t forthcoming, just look at Cameron Archer who was forced to sit on the bench and watch regularly.

All eyes may now be on who is next already.
Rory Wilson arrived from Rangers this year in what became somewhat of a transfer saga over how he arrived, with the Lions not taking no for an answer until it happened.
The Scottish giants did not want to see their prized asset at the time leave given his unbelievable goalscoring record including 12 in 13 for Scotland under 17s.
Wilson has already shown that at Villa Park too, scoring five in nine outings across three different competitions already for the age groups.

Watch.
All eyes will be on the likes of Wilson then during this break as the squad returns to training.
If he can terrorise senior players in training and find the back of the net with as much ease as he does through the youth levels, then we could be seeing him in the senior side this season.
Archer is clearly first in line in terms of young strikers at the club, but after he passed the baton down to Wilson, he will be looking to make even more of a name for himself.
All eyes are now on others at Bodymoor Heath, and Wilson will be one of many looking to take advantage from the Academy.
In other Aston Villa news, Bracey believes Robin Olsen hasn’t been good enough and the club needs a replacement back-up keeper
