Aston Villa reveal new crest from 2023/2024 Premier League season
Aston Villa have revealed their new club crest from the 2023/2024 Premier League season after fans got to decide between two different designs.
It’s pretty common for teams to change up their crests in recent years, as old-fashioned clubs look to modernise their kits and apparel and the new design will be Villa’s moving forward.
Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law was a fan of the new design, replying to the club’s Twitter announcement saying it was the “correct decision”.
“The correct decision,” wrote Law in response to the official Aston Villa Twitter page.

Debatable.
Changing club crests is always a sore subject and one that gets fans riled up on Twitter and various other social media platforms.
Aston Villa’s new crest is actually not that bad compared to some other Premier League club’s attempts at a rebrand in recent years.
It’s hard to forget Leeds United’s tragic attempt at a new club crest which caused a massive uproar amongst the West Yorkshire faithful.
Everton even had a go at trying something different but fans voted against the club’s new club logo remaining past one season with the team.
The circular design of Villa’s new crest seems to be a common theme with Premier League clubs at the moment, Brentford and Chelsea have opted for similar designs in their rebrands.
Older fans of the Villans will see the striking resemblance from the crest in the 80s to the new design, maybe it will bring back some brighter times with it?
