Thomas Tuchel not interested in taking Aston Villa job – journalist
Thomas Tuchel is not interested in taking the Aston Villa job and will politely say “no” according to journalist Matt Law.
Steven Gerrard was sacked by Aston Villa on Thursday evening after a string of poor results, leaving them lingering above the Premier League drop.
Law admitted that any attempt to replace Gerrard with Tuchel at Aston Villa would be met with a no and the former Chelsea boss isn’t interested in the role.
“Any attempt by Aston Villa to speak with Thomas Tuchel over their vacant job will be met with a polite ‘no’,” said Law via his Twitter page.
“He’s not interested – even if big wages and money on offer.”

Good move.
The decision by Aston Villa to sack Gerrard was a good one, they needed to reevaluate their campaign before it was lost completely.
Tuchel would have been a fine replacement, but it seems he is off the list now completely, fortunately, there are plenty of other big names who could thrive at Villa Park.
Thomas Frank and Mauricio Pochettino are possibly the most intriguing of the names linked, both would bring different philosophies to the Midlands with them.
Either would be seen as a great appointment by the Villans and a real indication of their intent moving forward into coming campaigns.
Villa will likely chuck a big wage and transfer spends to whoever does join the club, this may be the icing on the cake for Pochettino or Frank.
Nothing will be decided before Sunday’s clash against Frank’s Brentford side, who knows, the game could prove to be his last in charge of the London outfit.
In other Aston Villa news, the links to Mauricio Pochettino are ‘pure speculation’ according to reports
