Aston Villa to add Liverpool staff member Phil Roscoe to ranks next season – report
Steven Gerrard is set for a reunion with Aston Villa set to add Liverpool’s Phil Roscoe to their ranks next season, according to The Athletic.
The Reds’ player care manager has been with the quadruple pushers for the last 15 years but is on his way to the Villans’ set-up this summer.
Roscoe is due to work with the Lions’ first team in a senior role in player care and family liaison – working closely alongside Gerrard.

The news is said to be a big blow for Liverpool with the academy coach carving the path to Jurgen Klopp’s squad for several starlets in recent years.
Some of his best work on Merseyside includes the development of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Raheem Sterling.
Gerrard pull.
This is excellent news. Despite his lack of experience Gerrard really does have some pull.
Aston Villa fans saw it with the signing of Philippe Coutinho – albeit on loan – and Lucas Digne in the summer and now it has struck again.
Players and coaches really want to work under the Premier League legend given his rich success as a player and that bodes really well for the Villans.
The former Rangers boss is set for a summer of rebuilding the squad as he looks to kickstart his Villa Park career next season and the supporters will be extremely excited about the players that he can bring in.
Gerrard has this aura about him that makes so many people want to work for him and give their all to build something special and hopefully, he can continue that with the Lions after his success in Scotland.
Roscoe is a hugely talented coach, Liverpool would have kept him around so long if he wasn’t.
They have had so many incredible academy players burst onto the scene during his 15 years at the club and it would be incredible if he could replicate that success in the Midlands.
In other Aston Villa news, Villa should sell Douglas Luiz and replace him with Yves Bissouma
