Sky Sports pundit praises ‘Incredible’ Ollie Watkins during Aston Villa v Norwich City
Courtney Sweetman-Kirk was blown away by what Ollie Watkins did in the first half of the Aston Villa v Norwich City clash on Saturday (April 30).
The Sky Sports pundit, who is on commentary for the Premier League world feed, was thrilled by the England international’s work rate.
She believes he has been doing a phenomenal job closing down the opposition defenders and putting them on the backfoot.

Sweetman-Kirk said, “Ollie Watkins, his work rate is incredible. He never stops running. That’s the last thing you want as a defender for him to be running towards you.”
Sensational
Watkins has been a phenomenal signing for the Birmingham outfit from Brentford.
He joined as a goal scorer and out-and-out number nine, but he has been so much more for them.
He’s incredible off the ball and is constantly down the throats of opposition defenders.
Watkins is also adept at running the channels and can also play as a winger if he’s supplementing a central striker.

That was one of the reasons why Gareth Southgate called him up to the England squad and it remains to be seen if he’s called up for the World Cup squad.
Villa fans will be ecstatic about the impact he’s had on this side and hopefully, Steven Gerrard could take his game to the next level.
His potential is there for everyone to see and it’s now down to his application and the coaches he works under to reach that mark.
In other Aston Villa news, the club are set to intensify Philippe Coutinho talks in the coming weeks.
