Who Rory Wilson could join as Aston Villa face 11th-hour transfer approach
Rory Wilson could yet play his football away from Aston Villa again this season.
The 20-year-old Scotsman is unlikely to be in Unai Emery's plans for the campaign, with him still yet to make his debut since moving in 2022.
Over the years, he has been developing in the Villans academy but finally got his first taste of senior football following the 2026 winter transfer window.
The Premier League side sanctioned a loan move to Austrian outfit Sturm Graz, with Wilson making four appearances in the league.
Now, as the deadline continues to move closer, Wilson could yet find another route out of B6 for 2026 and 27.

Have Aston Villa received any offers for Rory Wilson?
Aston Villa will face a decision over whether or not to sanction an exit for Wilson this summer.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Swedish side Malmo have now made an approach to bring him to Sweden.
This follows earlier interest from Norway-based side HamKam who looked to sign Wilson on loan.
At the moment, it has not been made known what sort of deal Malmo are looking to strike and whether that would also be a loan.
However, Wilson is not short of suitors with the journalist sharing that other clubs within Europe are looking at the Scotsman this window.
Why Wilson needs to impress on loan spell
If Wilson is sent on loan, this may be his final chance to push for a career at Aston Villa.
Back in April 2025, Wilson signed a two-year extension which is set to end in June 2027.
However, Villa do hold the option to extend that by a further year, as he sits behind Brian Madjo in the pecking order.
Either way, Villa may utilise that option, but the reasoning could have two different outcomes.
On one hand, a strong loan spell could allow him to push his way into the Villa first-team, meanwhile a poor season may move the B6 outfit towards permanently selling him next summer.
