Aston Villa are ready to send Rory Wilson back out on loan abroard.

The 20-year-old made the move to Villa Park four years ago after he was plucked from Rangers' academy.

The young striker has yet to make the breakthrough into Villa's first team and Wilson was shipped out on loan to Sturm Graz back in February.

Wilson made four appearances for the Austrian outfit before returning to Villa Park in the summer.

However, he has been linked with another loan move throughout the summer given he is unlikely to get much game time under Unai Emery this season.

And he is being lined up for another move abroard as part of a chain of transfer events that are in motion.

Villa News previously reported how Villa were looking at potentially sending Wilson to Norwegian side HamKam.

However, now it looks like Wilson could instead be on his way to Sweden.

According to the Daily Record, Wilson is being lined up for a loan move by Swedish outfit Sirius.

They reported on their live transfer blog that Sirius have the Scotland Under-21 international on a shortlist of targets.

Sirius are reportedly about to sell Robbie Ure to LaLiga outfit Sevilla in a deal that could end up being worth more than £8million.

What are Villa's other options with Wilson?

It certainly makes sense for Villa to be looking at another loan move for Wilson, given his chances of getting regular first-team football look slim.

The Record added that another Swedish outfit in the form of IFK Gothenburg are also monitoring the situation with Wilson.

Clubs in England and Spain are also thought to keeping tabs on what happens with Wilson this summer.

Villa have been active in looking to either sell or loan out their youngsters this summer.

It has been part of their transfer plan to raise funds through trading players out of the academy.

For Wilson, it is difficult to see how he would get into the first-team fold in the immediate future and the chance to impress elsewhere would be perfect for him.

If he does that and gets some goals in the bag, then who knows what could happen for him a year down the line.
