When Aston Villa will sign Zion Suzuki and Matteo Ruggeri as triple transfer reveal shared
Aston Villa are set to receive some major transfer boosts imminently.
Unai Emery hasn't been able to add any further new recruits to his squad since the signing of Alejandro Garnacho on 23 July.
Since then, the Villains have lost five of their last six pre-season games, thus highlighting the need for reinforcements.
Villa chiefs have numerous transfer irons in the fire though, and their patience is set to be rewarded on multiple fronts.
Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki and Atletico Madrid defender Matteo Ruggeri have been strongly linked with moves to Villa Park.
And Villa fans won't have to wait much longer to see them announced in B6.
Why Monday could be memorable transfer day for Aston Villa
With Emi Martinez's Aston Villa future very much in doubt, Emery may be in need of a new starting goalkeeper moving forward.
Meanwhile, Lucas Digne's move to Paris Saint-Germain has left a void at the left-back position as well.
Both of these respective situations threatened to have serious negative impacts on Villa's 2026-27 squad.
However, the proverbial transfer cavalry is coming in the West Midlands.
Tom Collomosse of the Daily Mail reported late on Sunday evening that Villa are set to seal two deals in the next 24 hours.
Those will be for the aforementioned Suzuki and Ruggeri, with them both possibly to be announced as Villa players on Monday.
Meanwhile, he also claims that Martinez is currently leaning towards moving overseas rather than staying in England.
Suzuki and Ruggeri aren't the only possible incomings Collomosse discussed in his X post, however.
Who are Aston Villa set to make a bid for this week?
Emery will hope that his transfer recruitment drive this summer won't end with Suzuki and Ruggeri.
Indeed, with the Spaniard looking to see his side compete in Europe and in the Premier League this term, strength in depth is key.
West Ham United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has also been strongly linked with a move to Villa Park in recent days.
Collomosse claims that Villa fans can expect to see an approach made for the right-back this week too.
It's widely reported that both Wan-Bissaka and West Ham mutually want to part ways before the window shuts, and Villa may see bargain potential.
So, strap in Villains, these next few days look set to be busy and exciting ones on the transfer front.
