What Taylor Harwood-Bellis move might mean for Victor Lindelof

According to The Athletic in an update on Sunday, Villa have reached an agreement in principle with Southampton for Harwood-Bellis.

The fee will be worth up to £30million, though the structure of the deal is still being finalised.

Emery is a big admirer of the centre-back, and it's said that the Villans will pay an initial u-front fee of £25m.

But this imminent transfer may not be all good news for Lindelof, who was part of the side who were decimated 4-0 at the hands of Brighton.

Pau Torres is rated very highly by Emery, and it could lead to the Spaniard forming an unbreakable partnership with Harwood-Bellis.

But with time left in the window, could further departures be sanctioned?

Lindelof must surely know he is set to drop to the bench with the arrival of Harwood-Bellis.

He played an important role for Emery last season, and even ventured into midfield, but looks likely to take a backseat at Villa Park.
