Aston Villa fans are facing up to the realistic prospect that they may have to sell Morgan Rogers this summer.

The England international is drawing intense interest from Premier League champions Arsenal in the transfer window.

Champions League victors Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the situation, while Manchester United and Chelsea have long-standing interest.

Villa will play in the Champions League again next season, but may have to sanction a sale to stay within the parameters of financial regulations.

Rogers is currently representing England at the World Cup, so an immediate exit looks unlikely.

But Villa may look to accelerate a sale following a new report that has emerged on Tuesday.

Aston Ville eye Jarrod Bowen swoop

Villa will, naturally, want to strengthen their squad again this summer as they look to boost their ranks for a renewed crack at the Champions League.

According to the Athletic, the Villans have expressed a "strong interest" in signing Jarrod Bowen from West Ham United this window.

The Hammers were relegated from the Premier League last season, and captain Bowen is among those linked with an exit as a result.

The report states that sources suggest any deal would be worth about £50million, though West Ham are reluctant to sell.

However, it is also said that Villa view an agreement as difficult to complete because they need to make player sales, and no club-to-club discussions have currently taken place.

Is Morgan Rogers sale inevitable at Aston Villa?

No one of a Villa persuasion wants to see Rogers depart the club this summer.

But the grim reality is that his sale might have to be sanctioned for the greater good.

It stands to reason that if Villa want to add to their squad this summer, then Rogers may have to be sacrificed.

Mail reporter Tom Collomosse has suggested owner Nassef Sawiris will try and eek out a fee of £100m if he is to sell.

And frankly, it might be that Villa have to speed things up with regards to a sale if they are to follow up on targets like Bowen in the coming weeks.
