Ex-Aston Villa employee: £50m signing could play with Morgan Rogers - 'He will stay'
Aston Villa are already facing increased transfer speculation surrounding Morgan Rogers.
Everybody knows that Arsenal are interested, yet no movement is expected during the World Cup.
Unai Emery has transformed Aston Villa during his time, and with Champions League football secured again, the pressure to sell has dropped.
Alongside that, though, the pressure to improve the squad is only improving, with the Premier League introducing the new SCR.
That's where Villa and NSWE could be limited in their spending again.
Despite that, it hasn't stopped new links to West Ham United talisman Jarrod Bowen, who is a strong target already.
Do Aston Villa need to sell to sign Jarrod Bowen?
Naturally, links to Bowen has kickstarted nerves around the future of Rogers again.
The Athletic reports that Emery is a huge fan of Bowen, but any deal could cost upwards of £50million.
Bryan King agrees with that, but he is strongly opinionated that Rogers will stick around for another year, regardless of Bowen.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, the ex-Villans scout believes NSWE will want the two to play together.
"He'll be of interest to Villa," King said.
"He'd be a good signing for Villa because he's a good player and to do what he's done in a side like West Ham is quite phenomenal.
"West Ham have been told they need to bring money in to cover what they're going to lose and I would think Bowen is one who is quite capable of bringing that money in.
"I think Rogers will stay and if you can get Bowen to play with him, that could prove to be great business.
"I reckon he'll cost £50m, if not more."
Unai Emery deserves NSWE backing
It is about time that the regulations are somewhat put to one side at Villa Park, just like many others have done.
The Villans can't leave another summer behind without making that marquee signing they so desperately needed.
After struggling with Evann Guessand and Leon Bailey, Bowen is the perfect new transfer.
Those two alone could be sold to make way for the England international, and it could be what's needed to keep the likes of Rogers.
It's time to show true ambition going into another huge year at Villa Park.
