Nicolas Jackson has been central to positive reviews at Aston Villa after beating Fenerbahce 6-0.

The Villans are off to the perfect start in the Champions League having picked up six points from six.

That was secured with six goals at Villa Park against the Turkish giants on Wednesday.

There were top performances all over the pitch as Unai Emery saw the best of his stars.

Johan Manzambi has been put front and centre after winning the Man of the Match award on the night.

Despite that, it is Jackson who has now been raved about as Steven Warnock loved everything about his performance.

Why has Steven Warnock raved about Nicolas Jackson vs Fenerbahce?

There was so much to love about the claret and blue outfit's performance in B6.

The tickets may have been £100, which is still crazy, but at least the result matched the expectation from those prices.

The attacking showcase was superb and Jackson lead the line with true quality.

His two first-half strikes were excellent and proof of a striker who is feeling confident in his own game.

Both goals came under the microscope of Warnock on the BBC's Champions League Match of the Day as he delved into the best part of the Senegal international's performance.

The ex-Villa man said: "This is what they did well, they'd nick the ball high up the pitch and when you look at Nicolas Jackson, the first touch and the strike is absolutely perfect.

"One thing in Jackson's mind, feed Ross Barkley and get on the move himself, Picks it up, strike through the legs of Ake. A really smart strike."

There's no hiding from the quality in the goals from the striker, but what about his overall performance.

The 25-year-old is already proving to be an excellent addition.

He was tasked with the job of replacing Ollie Watkins, and he is doing so with aplomb so far.

Jackson continued that against Fener as he featured across 78 minutes at Villa Park.

The forward only clocked up 22 touches, but made excellent use of those.

He took the most shots on the pitch with five, while also creating one big chance.

That trend followed with his dribbles as he put up four, the most of anyone in B6.

Jackson added to that by winning four duels as he showed his class infront of goal and physicality as a number nine.

There was so much to appreciate about his performance and now Jackson needs to keep it up against Newcastle United at the weekend.
