Aston Villa battered Fenerbahce 6-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Unai Emery made four changes to his side, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Ibrahim Mbaye, Ross Barkley and Pau Torres starting at Villa Park.

Johan Manzambi got the Villans up and running with a deflected effort in the 12th minute.

Nicolas Jackson then scored a double to put the B6 side in a commanding position at half-time.

Ross Barkley then scored from the penalty spot and added his second through a long-range deflected effort to expand the Villans lead in front of the Holte End.

Tammy Abraham secured their record victory in the competition with a late strike.

How Nicolas Jackson stole the show in Aston Villa win

Jackson stole the headlines with his fantastic brace on Europe's highest stage.

He only had 22 touches, but he had five in the opposition box, according to FotMob data.

The Senegal international recorded five shots and completed 80 per cent of his five dribble attempts.

Jackson put the result beyond any doubt, and showed how he can be the frontman that the Villans need going forward.

It was a brilliant showing, with limited opportunities from a player at the top of his game right now.

Three Aston Villa questions to emerge this week - are errors costing too many points?

Ibrahim Mbaye's display goes under the radar

Mbaye has not had the same kind of form that Jackson has shown, but he was given just his fifth Villa appearance.

It was his finest to date as he managed 57 touches, with eight in the opposition box.

The 18-year-old recorded four chances created including an assist, two shots on target, and had one shot blocked.

The only downside of his showing was his crosses, as did not complete any of his three attempts.

Defensively, he showed a willingness to get back and help out with four contributions, two tackles, one clearance, one interception and seven recoveries.

He also won three ground duels from the four that he attempted, for a 75 per cent success rate.

If he can maintain the form that he showed against the Turkish side, he could be a very valuable asset for Emery going forward.

His display will go under the radar because of his more experienced compatriot, but the boss will have surely noticed.
