Emery would typically take time to bed new signings in.
That can't be the case this time around and several could be thrown straight into the starting XI.
Zion Suzuki has already had that honour after completing four sensational long balls against Arsenal on his debut.
He could soon see Taylor Harwood-Bellis feature ahead of him in the centre of defense alongside Torres.
Emery then has a choice between Leon Goretzka and Joao Gomes in the middle of the park, with the German getting the nod here due to his 312 career appearances for Bayern Munich.
The front line looks set to have a massively fresh look surrounding McGinn.
Johan Manzambi and Ibrahim Mbaye could add a fresh, youthful look to Villa's attack having contributed to a combined 19 goals and assists last campaign.
They will be working in tandem to supply Nicolas Jackson with chances after making his debut at Villa Park against the Gunners.
