Aston Villa look set to prolong a couple of perfect records when they host Fenerbahce on Wednesday night.

The Villans kicked off their Champions League campaign with an entertaining 3-2 win away at Club Brugge last month.

That was a welcome respite for Unai Emery, whose side continue to struggle for momentum in the Premier League.

Villa were held 2-2 by Brentford at the weekend and are 16th in the table - far below where Emery would expect them to be at this stage.

Focus now switches to continental action, however, with Super Lig heavyweights Fenerbahce the first visiting European side at Villa Park this season.

All the stats point towards a Villa victory, but what does the supercomputer think?

What result is supercomputer predicting in Aston Villa vs Fenerbahce?

Villa have a perfect record in the Champions League this season, albeit from just one game, while they also have a perfect record in this fixture.

In three previous encounters with Fenerbahce, including in the Europa League earlier this year, Villa have won all three.

Only against Bologna (four from four) do they have a better 100 per cent record against a single opponent in Europe.

Emery is also unbeaten in three previous encounters with Fenerbahce, who drew 1-1 with Roma in their opening league phase fixture.

Opta Analyst's supercomputer can see those records being prolonged on Wednesday as Villa have a 56.3 per cent likelihood of winning.

Fenerbahce have a 20.9 per cent chance of winning, meanwhile, meaning a draw has a 22.8 per cent likelihood of happening.

Aston Villa prospects look bleak if Unai Emery can't fix one thing after Premier League reveal

Marco Asensio out to achieve an Aston Villa first

Marco Asensio is one to watch for Fenerbahce as he makes his latest return to Villa Park.

The Spaniard previously starred on loan in the West Midlands, including three goals in four Champions League appearances.

Should he find the net on Wednesday, which you would certainly not rule out, then he will make some history.

That would make Asensio the first player to both score for and against Villa in the competition.

Villa fans will of course be hoping that is not the case, with three points the only order of the day.
