Aston Villa will hope to bounce back from their Brighton setback when they host Arsenal on Monday.

Unai Emery's men made a dismal start to the new Premier League campaign as they were beaten 4-0 by Brighton at the Amex Stadium last Sunday.

All four goals were scored in an awful first half for Villa, who also had Joao Gomes sent off before the break to compound their misery.

Things do not get much easier for Villa, though, as champions Arsenal make the trip to Villa Park for Monday Night Football.

Emery knows all about the Gunners having previously managed them between May 2018 and November 2019.

The good news for Villa supporters is that last season started in poor fashion too.
