Aston Villa player swap mooted amid 'crazy' Kenan Yildiz transfer update
Aston Villa could offer Juventus a player as part of a transfer deal for 19-year-old Kenan Yildiz.
As reported by CaughtOffside [8 December], the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Villa are all keeping an eye on the Turkey international, who could become available for £66million.
Meanwhile, Emi Buendía has been linked with a move away from Villa [via The Athletic, 13 December] after falling out of favour in the West Midlands this season.
And ex-Villa scout Bryan King - speaking exclusively to Villa News - has backed Unai Emery's side to become a little bit creative, with CalcioMercato reporting [14 December] that the club are willing to do "crazy" things to sign Yıldız.
"Perhaps there could be a swap deal on the cards," King said.
"Buendía has been linked with a move away from the club, maybe they will offer him to Juventus? That could be something. However, Juventus do want £66million for the player.
"You can forget that. He has had a few games at a high level, not a few seasons. Therefore, he hasn't done enough to generate a payment of £66million."
Aston Villa to offer Emi Buendía for Kenan Yıldız?
Paying £66million for a 19-year-old seems a big gamble. Therefore, by offering Buendía as part of a deal, Villa could reduce the money needed to lure Yıldız to the Premier League.
There is no guarantee that Juventus would be interested in such a deal. However, Buendía remains a talented player, something he has demonstrated this season, despite his recent struggles.
In addition, the relationship between Villa and Juventus is likely to be a positive one after the Douglas Luiz deal last summer. Therefore, that could help any potential negotiations.
As a result, Villa would be foolish not to test the waters with such an offer.
In other Aston Villa news, Emery has held individual talks amid recent developments.
