Aston Villa: Morgan Rogers' work pays dividends with what he revealed after England win vs Norway
Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers continues to better himself while away with England.
The 23-year-old is coming off the back of an excellent campaign that was capped off with a Europa League title at Villa Park.
His 25 goal involvements across all competitions certainly made a difference for Unai Emery's side.
That has unsurprisingly sparked interest in his signature, but he remains a B6 favourite for now.
The attacking midfielder is now away at the World Cup with the Three Lions and his looking ahead to a semi-final with Argentina.
Rogers may have been a bit-part player at the summer tournament, but played a key role to secure a place in the final four with a newly worked on talent.
Morgan Rogers reveals what he's been working on for England
There is so much to appreciate about the Englishman and what he's done in claret and blue.
His ability on the ball has always been clear and has been added to by true goal output since his first full season in B6.
Rogers regularly came up with top-class goals throughout the Premier League season, with his strike away to West Ham arguably being the best.
That is something that he had clearly worked on, but he is continuing to try and add another string to his bow.
The attacker took aim from range against Norway as his effort was too hot to handle for Orjan Nyland, who parried it into the path of Jude Bellingham to score the quarter-final winner.
In a TikTok shared by England on Sunday, the Villa man revealed he had been working on the type of shot that caused all sorts of problems for the keeper.
He said: "Strike? See the wobble in the air? It's moving. I've been working on that for a while.
"It's so nice to be involved in the goal. I probably didn't hit it perfectly, but did enough and the man's there to score as always."
It's clear that his work is paying off as he continues to show what he is all about.
The numbers behind Rogers in England win vs Norway
The B6 star looked like being the go-to man for Thomas Tuchel ahead of the tournament, but things haven't worked out that way.
He has started just one game, but has come on in four, with Norway being the latest.
Rogers was afforded just one minute of normal time, with his impact coming immediately in added time.
His 100 per cent shot accuracy ultimately allowed Bellingham to score, while he also kept the Three Lions ticking with a 100 per cent pass accuracy from midfield.
Rogers also chipped in with one clearance as he looked to do work going backwards.
That was echoed by his cameo against Mexico last time around where he also came on to make a clearance and get involved in one aerial duel.
Ironically, his shot against Norway was his first of the tournament and worked to devastating effect in the end.
It's great to see the Villa man proving his worth on the world stage while also showing further development to his game.
