Aston Villa are the favourite Premier League team to sign Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho, according to the bookmakers.

Gambling.com has named Unai Emery's side the most-likeliest English club to secure the Argentine's signature at 9/4 after news emerged from the Red Devils would consider offers to sign him this month [ESPN].

Coming in at 4/1, Newcastle United are on the Villans' heels for the transfer, though Atletico Madrid lead the entire race, with bookmakers putting them at 15/8 favourites to sign Garnacho.

Manchester City and Liverpool have both been named as potential destinations, albeit those moves are far less likely at 20/1 and 25/1, respectively.

Aston Villa to sign Alejandro Garnacho amid Manchester United exit news?

It seems highly unlikely that Emery would welcome such a character into the current Villa squad, even despite his unbelievable talent on the pitch.

Saying this, however, Jhon Duran is still very much a big part of the team and has a similar ego, especially when it came to his future during the summer transfer window.

The winger position does seem like one of the biggest weaknesses in Emery's squad currently, not because of a lack of talent, but mainly because of the number of injuries so far this season.

The former has been far from his very best, having notched 10 goals and nine assists in the Premier League last season, so it could be a sensible decision to find a new signing to challenge Bailey.

Ramsey, on the other hand, has failed to remain fit for long periods of time, seeing him start just seven league matches so far this term.

Garnacho's signing could make sense.
