Aston Villa are yet to confirm a new front-of-shirt sponsor for the upcoming season.

The Villans were forced to part ways with Betano at the end of their deal after two years.

The Premier League's ban on betting sponsors has impacted the B6 outfit negatively despite yet another positive campaign under Unai Emery.

Having won the Europa League and qualified for the Champions League, there was an expectation of a better fee from a new deal, but it hasn't come.

There have been plenty of big-name brands linked to Villa Park without a deal being confirmed at this stage.

That could soon change in the Midlands as a new sponsor could take the reigns shortly.

What are Aston Villa doing to secure a sponsor?

Going without a front-of-shirt sponsor to this point has already had an impact on the claret and blue outfit.

The new home shirt has gone on sale, but without being occupied by a company in the centre, many have opted not to purchase one yet.

That gives the Villans all the incentive they need to go out and seal a deal, which hasn't happened yet.

The positive news is that they are doing their utmost to seal a deal, according to The Athletic's Jacob Tanswell.

Speaking on the 1874 podcast on Thursday, he said: "It's been a slow period. The front-of-shirt sponsor, they're making good progress on. Hopefully that's happening fairly soon.

"They are making progress, but it's hard for Villa, even now."

That is good news for the B6 outfit as fans wait to learn exactly who could come on board for the upcoming season.

Who could become Aston Villa's front-of-shirt sponsor?

There has been so many names banded around in the Midlands already this summer.

Audi have been put forward, especially after a friendly against Bayern Munich, sponsored by the automotive manufacturer, was announced for pre-season.

That hasn't happened yet and it is unclear whether it still could.

Visit Rwanda are another option as they look likely to become a sponsor in some capacity at Villa Park after their branding was spotted in and around the ground in June.

Tanswell has suggested Villa want to get a deal done as soon as possible, and that could see it get pushed over the line in the very near future.

Bringing in as much revenue as they can will be important, but at this stage, any deal would be better than none.
