Bryan King urges Aston Villa to sign Millwall star Femi Azeez as record fee mooted
Aston Villa have been told to end their right-winger search by signing Femi Azeez from Millwall.
The Villans look set to bring a new wide option in when the summer transfer window opens at the end of the current Premier League campaign.
The flanks have been an area of frustration for Unai Emery’s side this campaign, with the recent struggles of Jadon Sancho and Leon Bailey clear for all to see.
That has sparked early speculation surrounding new right-sided targets, and the Championship could provide the perfect option.
Azeez has been a true star for Millwall this season, and former keeper Bryan King has urged the B6 outfit to sign him from his former club.
Aston Villa could sign Femi Azeez for £30milllion
There are plenty of questions surrounding the claret and blue side right now, with Champions League qualification hanging in the balance.
Whether that is achieved or not, it feels as if a busy summer lies ahead as a right-wing signing feels increasingly likely.
That has seen various names already linked, but now ex-Millwall keeper King has thrown Azeez into the mix after a superb campaign at The Den.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, King said: “Azeez has been an exciting player this year.
“He’s got real pace, and he’s really come to light this season.
“He’s got great ability, and his future will all depend on whether Millwall go up.
“I think they have a good chance, but if they don’t, they’ll struggle to keep hold of him.
“If I were at Villa, he’d be someone I would look at.
“He’d cost £30m in today’s market even if Millwall don’t go up.”
That, by some distance, would be a record fee for Millwall.
Who is Millwall star Femi Azeez?
The 2001-born talent is a right winger by trade, but has been known to feature off the left when required across a six-year senior career so far.
Azeez was released by Watford at age 14 and went on to feature for Southern League Division One Central side Northwood.
His form there earned a move to Wealdstone, before a future move to Reading in 2019.

The forward featured for the Royals across a five-year period, with a loan deal to Bracknell Town in the midst of that, before his £1m move to Millwall.
The 24-year-old has gone on to be superb for the Lions, with his eight goals and six assists inspiring his side to third in the Championship.
Promotion to the Premier League is a real possibility for Azeez and Co., but whatever happens, sides like Villa are bound to showcase an interest.
