Everything we know about Ezri Konsa’s contract situation after fan clash vs Wolves
Ezri Konsa was held back from clashing with Aston Villa fans after the defeat against Wolves.
The claret and blue outfit were shocking against Rob Edwards’ side on Friday and deserved nothing but the 2-0 defeat once again at Molineux.
There were no positives for Unai Emery to take away, as much as he tried, and the travelling supporters made that clear in the Black Country.
That didn’t go down well with Konsa, who clearly heard something from the away end that he didn’t like and wanted to act on it.
The England international didn’t paint himself in the best light, and now Villa News has rounded up everything we know about his current Villa Park contract.

Ezri Konsa wrong to confront fans vs Wolves
The centre-back is currently acting captain in B6 with John McGinn out injured, but he isn’t acting like it.
Against Leeds United last weekend, he looked hugely annoyed towards the Holte End as they voiced their frustrations during a shoddy first-half performance.
That didn’t go down well at Villa Park, and that annoyance only continued as the Villans fell to defeat against Wolves on Friday.
The Villa fans were within their rights to make their feelings clear after yet another Molineux defeat, but Konsa clearly didn’t like it.
No one is quite sure what was said, but there was still no real need for the defender to show that level of frustration towards supporters.
What is Ezri Konsa’s contract situation at Aston Villa?
The Villans were delighted when the ex-Brentford man put pen to paper on a new long-term contract back in September 2023.
He has performed at a top level since then and been an ever-present for Villa and England, but has yet to agree fresh terms.

That currently means that the Englishman’s contract will come to an end in the summer of 2028, which would mark nine years in the Midlands.
Reports suggest that he is paid £75,000 per week at Villa Park, which equates to a yearly salary in the region of £3.9million.
There is every chance that another side away from B6 could make an improved offer if Emery and Co. don’t tie him down to a new contract.
Frustrations are high right now, but that shouldn’t take away from his quality in B6 ever since his move in 2019.
