Everything we know about Ollie Watkins’ Aston Villa contract: Exit speculation, wages and more
Ollie Watkins faces an uncertain future at Aston Villa as the summer edges closer.
The England international has struggled for form at Villa Park this season and has looked nowhere near his best in claret and blue.
He has scored just eight goals and hasn’t looked like improving that record after failing to score in his last five games in all competitions.
Unai Emery has still decided to stand by the 30-year-old and has continued to start him upfront in the Premier League.
That hasn’t gone down particularly well in B6, with many fans calling for Watkins’ departure as Villa News assesses everything we know about his current contract.

What is Ollie Watkins’ current contract situation at Aston Villa?
The ex-Brentford forward may still be the go-to option in the Midlands, but that may not last much longer if his current performance level continues.
This campaign has proven to be his worst in a Villa shirt since completing his move from the Bees, having contributed to 31 goals last campaign.
His typical high levels of form were enough for Villa to offer him a new long-term contract in October 2023, tying his future down until 2030.
It is reported that the Englishman is on a weekly salary of £130,000 per week, which amounts to a yearly wage of approximately £6.7million.
That isn’t short change for a side in the midst of financial worries, especially for a player who isn’t hitting the heights expected of him right now.
When could Watkins leave Aston Villa?
There is no fear right now that the striker will depart on a cut-price deal off the back of his contract situation in B6.
Villa were smart to secure his future until 2030, but that doesn’t mean they are forced to keep hold of him until then.
Having dropped off in front of goal this season, there is no doubt that a summer exit could make sense for all parties.

Arsenal showed interest before the start of the campaign, but were immediately rebuffed in their attempts to sign the forward.
Any new enquiries would likely face a different outcome, and Watkins could potentially depart Villa in 2026 if Emery looks to replace the record goalscorer in B6.
