Evann Guessand makes good on his wish away from Aston Villa after disrespectful events
Aston Villa fans were hardly gutted when Evann Guessand was allowed to leave in winter transfer window.
The Ivory Coast international signed for Crystal Palace late in the winter window to bring his nightmare Villa Park spell to an end.
After half a season in B6, the forward had failed to score a single Premier League goal and never looked like finding the net in claret and blue.
That began to grate on the Villa fans, and his game time slowly fell away under Unai Emery, before he completed a January exit.
Things have started well for Guessand with the Eagles as the 24-year-old continues to achieve his dreams at Selhurst Park.
Evann Guessand has already scored for Crystal Palace
The former OGC Nice man did very little to prove why the Villa Park faithful should have been more patient towards the summer signing.
It just never looked like working out, but it is safe to say he has already showcased his talents since his switch to Crystal Palace.
Guessand netted a late winner against Wolves on Sunday, as he continued his great start at Selhurst Park.
That sealed three points against the Old Gold and allowed the Palace fans to grow even happier towards their winter signing.
The Ivorian has been excellent for the Croydon outfit with his one goal and one assist in the Premier League, helping to seal six points.
That start has been showcased by Sofascore, with his 55 minutes per goal involvement representing excellent output for Guessand, especially with a 100 per cent conversion rate against Wolves.

He has also completed one dribble per game in a 60 per cent success rate throughout his early spell with the Eagles.
The winter signing is also winning 3.33 duels a game, proving that his work rate is also on point under Oliver Glasner, something that had fallen away late in his Villa spell.
Guessand forced Aston Villa exit in January
Villa fans didn’t want Guessand to stick around because he had been hugely shocking throughout his claret and blue spell.
Even with that being the case, it appears that the forward wasn’t the most professional, as it turns out, he actually forced the move to Crystal Palace.
James Savundra reported that the 24-year-old was the “key driver” in a January move to Selhurst Park, having reached out to the Eagles through intermediaries.
That is largely disrespectful to the Villans, who brought him in for big money in the summer and had high hopes after his spell at OGC Nice.
Guessand got his wish and is now flourishing, but there was no real need to go behind anyone’s back to complete a winter move.
