Ahmed Elmohamady loves transfer news he has seen straight from Aston Villa
Aston Villa ambassador Ahmed Elmohamady seems to be delighted with the recent transfer business at the club.
It has been a busy window for the B6 outfit, with multiple incomings already. Unai Emery’s side also does not seem to be slowing down either.
Winger Alysson arrived earlier in January, with Leon Bailey’s loan at AS Roma also being cut short.
Additionally, Douglas Luiz is closing in on a return to Villa after leaving for Juventus back in 2024, and that would make him the second Brazilian to join this window.
However, he would also be the second player making his Villa Park comeback.

Ahmed Elmohamady reacts to Tammy Abraham signing for Aston Villa
Tammy Abraham was a key figure for Aston Villa during their promotion run to the Premier League in the 2018-2019 season.
The Englishman scored 26 goals across all competitions as the Villans won the play-offs.
During that time, his spell was only a loan move, but after a six-season absence, he has returned in a deal worth around £18.2million.
Elmohamady was also part of that squad, and the Egyptian seems to be buzzing that Abraham has returned.
The former Villa star took to social media to welcome back his former teammate.
Elmohamady is still a vocal supporter of the club, even five years on from him retiring from football.
When will Tammy Abraham make his Aston Villa debut?
Due to the Europa League’s squad registration rules, Tammy Abraham will not be able to feature for the club until the knockout stages of the competition.
This means that Thursday’s match against Salzburg will be too soon.
The likelihood is that the Englishman will replace Donyell Malen in the list, with teams allowed a maximum of three changes.
Additionally, Douglas Luiz will likely be added for the latter stages of the tournament as well.
Boubacar Kamara is the most probable man to be removed in that case. The Frenchman sustained a significant knee injury that is expected to keep him out for the season.
Harvey Elliott is another player who could also be removed from the squad, with Villa unwilling to let him hit the appearance quota for his obligatory buy option.
For Abraham and Luiz, if all goes well, they could get their chance at the weekend against Brentford.
