Monchi reveals what Unai Emery did to force Aston Villa exit – ‘It has completely changed my life’
Monchi departed Aston Villa in surprise fashion in the summer.

So far, Olabe has only overseen deals for Alysson and Brian Madjo while the Villans remain in desperate need of reinforcements.
It was a similar story in the summer, where it took until deadline day for deals to get done, and they were hardly inspiring.
Moves were completed to sign Victor Lindelof on a free transfer, plus Harvey Elliott and Jadon Sancho on loan until the end of the campaign.
Other than a deal for the Swede, the other two have been disappointing, and Monchi was left to answer criticism off the back of these transfers.

Monchi reveals why Unai Emery demands caused his exit
The announcement of Monchi’s exit did feel like it made sense after such a frustrating spell with transfers being dictated by financial regulations.
It now seems as if the decision was ultimately dictated by Emery as he wanted someone new alongside him at Bodymoor Heath.
This insider detail has been revealed by Monchi in an interview with Spanish outlet Sport after the life-changing exit from B6.
He said: “It’s difficult to explain and much harder to understand. After two very intense, very beautiful years in Birmingham, where we achieved important objectives, Unai needed someone close by with fresh blood.
“We reached an agreement, and I decided to make the move earlier than I had planned. It has completely changed my life.“
It is a blow to hear this sort of detail for the former director in B6, but shows the cut-throat nature of football and the power Emery has at Villa Park.
