Aston Villa fans all say same thing about new signing as official Nassef Sawiris post shared
Aston Villa have had an underwhelming January transfer window.
Donyell Malen left Aston Villa to join Roma on loan, with the deal containing an obligation to buy fee of £25million.
The move was controversial, with many supporters furious that the Dutchman was allowed to leave, given the lack of depth up front.
Villa signed Gremio winger Alysson at the start of the window, while Metz youngster Brian Madjo also came through the door.
However, with no suitable replacement for Malen coming through the door just yet, Aston Villa fans have put pressure on executive chairman Nassef Sawiris to act swiftly.

Aston Villa fans criticise Nassef Sawiris for the lack of transfer activity
In July 2018, a consortium consisting of Sawiris and fellow billionaire Wes Edens, referring to themselves as NSWE, purchased a 55 per cent controlling stake worth £30m.
The Villans have enjoyed a meteoric rise ever since, and a lot of credit must go to Sawiris for overseeing the successful period.
Villa are now one of the Premier league’s best teams, and they reached the Champions League quarter-finals last season before losing out to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.
The Aston Villa X account wished Sawiris a happy birthday on 19 January, and the majority of Villa fans replied by demanding that he makes some signings before the transfer deadline on 2 February.
One fan said: “Hope he got a cheque book for his birthday.”
There has also been a recurring theme of the recruitment not being up to scratch, with both Harvey Elliott and Evann Guessand failing to impress.

Nassef Sawiris deserves criticism for the poor recruitment in recent years
Aston Villa are in a title race against all the odds, and they’ll be frustrated that rivals Man City are allowed to spend a fortune on players whenever they want.
PSR restrictions have made it tough for Unai Emery’s side to bridge the gap with the Premier League’s elite, although you wouldn’t think it by looking at the table.
However, when they have spent big, it has not been entirely successful, and fans could only dream of where they’d be if the signings of Guessand and Elliott paid off.

Villa splashed £30m on the Ivorian, and he has failed to score in the Premier League since arriving in the summer.
If you look even further back, the loan deal for Axel Disasi last season didn’t pay off, and it’s clear that Villa need to improve their recruitment in the coming weeks.
Emery is doing a fantastic job, and it’s no surprise that the supporters are demanding that NSWE back him in the transfer window.
It’s not like the chance to win a league title comes around often for Aston Villa, and Sawiris looks to be completely wasting it.
