Aston Villa to make Moise Kean deal happen as Ollie Watkins continues to ‘suffer’ at Villa Park
Moise Kean could make a Premier League move to Aston Villa this winter.
The Italian had a failed spell with Everton in 2019, but now Kean could be on his way to Villa after a hugely positive spell with Fiorentina.
Unai Emery is on the lookout for a new forward option in January after Donyell Malen was sold to Roma in surprise fashion.
Tammy Abraham has emerged as a target for Villa, but a deal with Besiktas seems increasingly complicated due to his current loan arrangement.
That could see Villa turn their attentions to Kean, with a move potentially set to benefit Ollie Watkins across the second half of the season.
Fiorentina could agree Moise Kean exit to Aston Villa
The departure of Malen will be a sizable loss for Villa after a generally positive campaign across various competitions.
His nine goal involvements have helped the claret and blue outfit to third in the Premier League, so it is a shock to see him leave at this stage.
A replacement for Malen will be necessary this winter, and Kean may prove to be the man for Emery and Co.

The 25-year-old has scored 31 goals in less than two years for Fiorentina despite them sitting 18th in Serie A.
Former scout Bryan King believes Villa could make a deal happen for the striker with I Viola, in a move that could help get the best out of Watkins in B6.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, King said: “It will all depend on the price.
“Fiorentina have hardly been setting Serie A alight, so he’s done really well to score so many goals.
“A player like that would complement Watkins, that’s for sure.

“Watkins has had to suffer after losing Rashford and Asensio, so he needs a partner upfront.
“He needs to be joined by a target man because he isn’t one, he’s a spinner, he wants to get on second balls and down the channels.
“Someone like Kean, who could combine with Watkins, would be a huge plus for Villa.
“You’d think Villa could make a deal happen with Fiorentina, but it will all depend on the fee.“
Moise Kean and Ollie Watkins could strike partnership
Kean may be unproven at Premier League level, but if anyone can unlock his potential, it is Emery.
The Italian has been electric for Fiorentina in the past two years, so an opportunity to fire Villa into the Champions League may be too good to turn down.
The ex-Juventus man may be the ideal candidate to feature alongside Watkins, with his speed, physicality and ability on the ball being a contributing factor.
Moise Kean strengths:
- Finishing
- Dribbling
- Set-piece threat
- Counter attack threat
These traits may pose as a counterbalance to the England international, who has been known for his ability to pick up assists in recent years.
Ollie Watkins strengths
- Key passes
- Finishing
- Headed attempts
- Short passes
Having Kean darting in behind, while having the ability to hold the ball up and Watkins alongside him, Villa could become a whole new threat in the second half of the season.
