Aston Villa outcast could be integral to signing Tammy Abraham in January – Here’s why

Aston Villa have been linked with a surprise return for Tammy Abraham.

Villa may have secured a 2-1 win against Tottenham on Saturday, but it was interest in the Englishman that caught supporters off guard.

It appears that Unai Emery wants attacking reinforcements this winter, with Abraham linked with a Villa switch with three weeks remaining in the window.

Abraham has nearly re-joined Villa many times, but has gone on to feature for Roma and is currently on loan at Besiktas.

If a January move is to go through for Abraham, the Villans may need to call on an exiled star and work through plenty of transfer difficulties.

Tammy Abraham could agree Aston Villa return

Villa were linked to Abraham three years ago and that interest hasn’t completely gone away ever since.

The ex-Chelsea man was electric on loan in B6 back in 2019, but never returned after becoming a Stamford Bridge regular.

His spell with the Blues eventually ended when he joined Roma, then went out on loan to AC Milan, and he now plays for Besiktas, where he has already made 24 appearances.

Abraham has scored 12 goals in Turkyie, but could call time on his Super Lig spell in favour of a Villa Park return.

Multiple sources have revealed B6 interest in the striker, but have revealed that a deal could be difficult for all parties to agree.

That is where Emery and Co. could call upon Leon Bailey to make a deal happen in the coming weeks.

Leon Bailey could help Abraham deal in January

This is a complex situation with plenty of moving parts.

Bailey is currently on loan at Roma from Aston Villa, while Abraham is on loan at Besiktas from Roma. This could be key.

If the Villans want to bring the Englishman in, they will have to call on the Serie A side to cut short their forward’s loan spell in Turkyie and bring him back to the Italian capital.

Villa could then look to sweeten things with Besiktas by sending Bailey to the Super Lig, as the Romans have already shown interest in cutting his loan deal short.

The Jamaica international looks destined to return to Villa Park in January, but could be shipped straight back out to make a deal happen for Abraham.

It feels as if this could benefit all parties and make a deal possible for the former Villa loanee amid a difficult situation.
