Unai Emery odds revealed at Chelsea after shock Enzo Maresca sack news
Unai Emery is certainly the best Premier League manager of the last three years.
Aston Villa have been sensational since the Spaniard took over in a relegation dog-fight, going on to qualify for the Champions League and Europa League.
Emery was far from happy after Aston Villa’s 4-1 defeat at Arsenal on Tuesday, but he can be proud of what he has achieved so far at Villa Park.
The same may not be said about Enzo Maresca at Chelsea, with his sacking looking likely to kickstart 2026 in the Premier League.
Unai Emery could replace Enzo Maresca after latest sack news
Every time a top Premier League job becomes available, Emery is on that list.
Manchester United have been linked with Emery previously, yet he has always made it clear that Aston Villa is his priority, and why wouldn’t they be?
It is no different with Chelsea.
Major bookmakers have Emery just below the favourites at 9/1, with Oliver Glasner, Xavi and Liam Rosenior above him heading into 2026.

Rosenior makes the most sense given he is under the same ownership group, with Glasner and Marco Silva another two who have made it open that they could leave Crystal Palace and Fulham respectively.
Why is Enzo Maresca being sacked?
Maresca currently has Chelsea sitting fifth in the Premier League, well within touching distance of the top four and with some solid wins along the way.
Beating Barcelona with relative ease in the Champions League is likely a highlight, although that isn’t enough, given the billions spent in recent years.
Maresca is said to have fallen out with Behdad Egbhali, with Todd Boehly likely to make a decision in the next 24 hours over his future.
Emery is likely an automatic pick for many Premier League shortlists when an opportunity like this arises, but he has Aston Villa sitting third and on track for glory again, so he isn’t going anywhere.
NSWE will make sure of that, with the Villans set to go for broke for silverware in the second half of the season under the stewardship of Emery yet again.
